Yemen Says It Shot Down Saudi Drone Over Hajjah

Yemen’s armed forces said they had shot down a Saudi drone over Hajjah province.

According to Al Masirah, Brigadier General Yahya Sarea said the drone was targeted and crashed in the al-Tina area of Hajjah province. He described the drone as a “Karayel” and said the incident was carried out with a “suitable weapon.”

He said the drone was operating in Yemeni airspace. Yemeni officials have described the aircraft as a “spy” and “armed” drone.

The report said similar incidents involving Saudi drones in Yemeni airspace have continued in recent months. Hajjah province is located in northwestern Yemen, near the border with Saudi Arabia.
